Does it count?

We are only in the 2nd week (note 1 week was in NE) of our home renovations today. We found out that our revised deck order wasn't ordered so we will probably have 3/4of a deck for 2 more weeks. There is a 15 day delay on getting or 'PODS' aka 'Beds/Funiture/Home' delivered. So the air mattress, paper plate routine will continue. They think that I should have remembered signing a piece of paper that says "15 days delivery notice" on the day I'm packing and moving my entire home counts as a binding contract that Oh by the way, I can request a copy because they don't leave one, is OK! I'll be calling their supervisor tomorrow.

So until then we have our routine...fill the airmatress no later than 10:30 PM and pray you are the first one up in the morning as the other one hits the floor the minute you get up as it's deflated overnight.

Comcast still hasn't figured out why I can call you, but you can't call me.

And because we ripped out the vanitey to redo hardwood floors in the one bathroom with the only working shower you now have to go to the one that smells like pee to wash your hands. I aksed Wes this afternnon if it counted as washing your hands when you stick them in the back of the toliet to fix the broken flapper:)

The good news is, we are still in high spirits. We can still see the end of the road. I'll let ya know next week how we are handling things. We actually have weekend guest! April must be a dear dear friend to put up with our camping conditions.

What Kala didn't mention was that their new comcase equip. was loaded with "pre-recorded" porn...what a suprise ...second that although the deck is 85% done the 15% that isn't is the first 3 ft against the house so as you step out onto the deck it is a giant leap AND that the kitchen currently consists of refrig, habachi and grill...period. what an adventure.

Oh dear! Sounds like you have a ton of work ahead of you. The joys of homeownership. But just think, at the end of it all you'll be so in love with the house the aches and pains will be forgotten! Love you guys!

I am seriously cracking up!! Only you Kala!! Only you could find such amazing humor and joy in those conditions. I love you so much! :) And I'm glad for the extra color your mom added to your painted picture for us.

Chris is right, this is like your baby. You're going through major labor pains and uncomfortable conditions now, but just wait - it'll be SO worth it. And good preparation for the real baby thing!

I hope April had a great visit. I am glad you guys got to spend some fun time together :) You and Wes are making amazing memories. I wish I could be there to spend these days with you, helping you create your dream home.
